Content Editor/Editor In Chief
Pam McCormick has yet to encounter an Oxford comma or exclamation point she couldn’t put to good use. Her range of professional and personal experience, and enthusiasm for ‘telling the story,’ are why she was selected to be the Editor of ‘Gather Media LLC’ products. She is skilled in copywriting, advertising, editing, social media, public speaking, and photography. She possesses a strong art and design base built on her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Michigan State University. She edits books (Fun with Flowers – A Guide to Selecting, Arranging, and Enjoying Beautiful Flowers,’ by J Schwanke), creates social media content (sheownsit.com, 30SecondMom.com, dancinmoma.com), and showcases her business acumen. She owned Creative Digital Ink for a number of years, and previously was project manager for the John Henry Company in Lansing, Michigan. Following John Henry, Pam relocated to the Grand Traverse region to raise a family with her spouse, Daniel McCormick, Jr., now sales manager at Fox Motors. Brady, their eldest son, is now studying environmental science in college. Casey, a high school sophomore, is a member of the TC St. Francis band and recently released his first album with his group, MacCormick, Their daughter also seems to have inherited the performance and dance genes, and is expanding her own repertoire. Pam is also a highly respected dance instructor and choreographer in Traverse City. She teaches ballet, tap, jazz, Celtic, musical theater, and creative movement. Her dance students have learned about technique, confidence, expression, and hard work. Teaching with Dance Teachers that were previous students is a priceless bonus of ‘experience.’ She excels as a performer and choreographer as well. Her appearances are too numerous to mention, but noteworthy is an appearance as the professional dance partner of the president of Team Elmer’s when they won “Swingshift with the Stars” in 2014. They raised the most ever for charity to that point. Pam’s involvement in community events such as Swingshift reinforces her personal affection for and commitment to the region. Her role as Editor of Gather Media, LLC products allows her to share her gifts with the community.
